Fall in South Carolina is a beautiful time of year. The heat from summer is over, but it isn’t quite winter weather just yet. Perfect for making fall plans with family and friends. In our opinion, there is so much to experience this time of year that we came up with a list of the “can’t miss” events. Enjoy these family-friendly events where you can pick-your-own pumpkins, enjoy fresh apples and peaches, and visit the beautiful city of Fort Mill. Curtin Farms Fest
Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: 407 N Paraham Rd, Clover, SC 29710
A community gathering with quality, hand-crafted and unique products, antiques, local food, live music, craft beer, and much much more, all located on our 100-year-old working farm. With 50+ craftsmen, artisans, and food vendors, there is something for everyone at Curtin Farms Fest.

Pups in the Park
Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, 5 – 8 p.m.
Location: Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St Fort Mill, SC 29715
Pups in the Park is an evening of fun for you and your pups on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Fort Mill Amphitheater at Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St. They will have food trucks, music, and pet-related vendors. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
The evening features music from country artists Savannah Harmon and Lauren Hall. Dogs must be on a 6 ft. leash or less at all times and under the owner’s control. Only well-behaved pups are allowed at this event. Please pick up after your pets. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy hanging out with your fur babies in the park!

Baxter Village/Fort Mill 2022 Fall Festival
Saturday, October 15, 2022, Noon-6 p.m.
Location: 900 Market Street Fort Mill, SC 29708
The largest fall festival in the Fort Mill/South Charlotte region, with more than 125 exhibitors, artisans/crafts, food and beverages, live entertainment, games, contests, prizes, and more! Plenty of free parking. Baxter Village is conveniently located just 20 minutes south of Charlotte, at the corner of I-77 South, Exit 85.

Black’s Peaches Fall Festival
Every weekend in October
Location: 1800 Black Highway York, SC 29745
The Fall Festival is open every weekend in October. $7 per person and activities include a corn maze, skeeball, a farm playground, and of course, hayrides! Unfortunately, there are no pets permitted during the fall festival.

Cherry Place Farms Fall Festival
During the month of October, open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays
Location: 1922 Oakdale Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29730
During the month of October, Cherry Place Farm is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. The October festival is a self-guided tour of their farm that features the two-acre corn maze and pumpkin patch. This is a family-friendly event, but all ages will enjoy the activities. They do not require reservations at this time and allow friendly leashed dogs. Please check social media for the most recent updates.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Carowinds
Saturdays & Sundays, Sept. 17 – Oct. 30 | 12 to 5 PM

Hooray for fall, y’all! Hop on your tractor, pirate ship, or witch’s broom and hurry on over for a super-sized celebration of all things fall at Carowinds’ The Great Pumpkin Fest. They’ve got a full harvest of amazing, fall-tastic fun for everyone with games, activities, and just a speck of spooky for pint-sized ghosts and goblins.
The Great Pumpkin Fest offers one-of-a-kind Halloween events for kids throughout the park! At Camp Snoopy, you’ll find family-friendly activities, games, play zones, costume contests, dance parties, and more! Around every hay bale, you can catch toe-tapping, live entertainment, and grab a comfy seat to just kick back and take it all in.

Windy Hill Apple Harvest Festival

Apple lovers will delight in apple picking, hayrides, cider making, pumpkin picking, apple peeling contests, Johnny Appleseed stories, and delicious baked apple goods. Held annually on the third Saturday in October.
Scarecrow Crawl
Oct. 3 to 31, 2022
Location: Downtown Fort Mill
Join the Town of Fort Mill as we host our 8th Annual Scarecrow Crawl from Oct. 3 to 31, 2022! Come take a stroll in Downtown Fort Mill to see all the amazing Scarecrow entries created by individuals, schools, businesses, organizations, churches and more. Registration to enter a Scarecrow is free and will be held Aug. 29 to Sept. 16. Scarecrow installation will be Sept. 26 to Oct. 2.
The public will have a chance to weigh in on Facebook from Oct. 7 to 28, by liking their favorite Scarecrows! Winners will be chosen for People’s Choice and Town of Fort Mill Best Department Scarecrow and will be announced on Town of Fort Mill social media on Oct. 31.

Fort Mill Fall Festival
Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, 4 to 8 p.m.
Location: 345 N White St, Fort Mill, SC 29715
Experience Fall in Fort Mill at the Town’s Annual Fall Festival at the Amphitheater in Walter Elisha Park on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022. The event begins at 4 p.m. with music from Chewbacky, followed by Whit’s End and Matt Tucker hitting the Amphitheater Stage. The evening will continue until 8 p.m. with trick or treating at our vendor booths, costume contests, photo ops, and food trucks.
